Dear friends -
Last Sunday we had a focus on the life of UBC for the next three months. What that looks like is still being determined. The long term life of UBC, as we know it, is certainly part of that discussion.
You are invited to pray for the church and offer your input.
I bring to your attention two others worthy of our prayers:
** Terri S. had a biopsy earlier this week; please keep her in your thoughts.
** I received an email notification of the passing of Robert (Bob) MacLean, a longtime former member of UBC. His memorial service will be this Sunday, April 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Covenant Shores on Mercer Island. Please remember the MacLean family in your prayers.
The scripture this past Sunday was from the 9th chapter of the gospel of John – the story of the healing of the blind man on the Sabbath. ‘Seeing’ is certainly a matter of perspective – not everyone sees things in the same way. Being willing to see things from a different perspective is always challenging, and, of course, we desire to see the world and our place in it from Jesus’ perspective. If you would like to include your voice on the topic of ‘seeing’ the life of UBC in the future, please respond to this email or join us at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
May your days be blessed with both vision and understanding –
